No really! Give me one good reason why there isn't a charactor better than she. Right. There isn't. My point exactly. OK. Real Profile: Rei Ayanami is a quiet girl who lives alone in her own apartment in Tokyo-3. The neighborhood she lives in always is under heavey construction and is very loud, with her apartment looking like a mess with bloody bandages all over and foot tracks all over the floor when carpet is absent. She hates meat and the color red. Rei possesses no emotions and rarely ever smiles. The only time I've ever seen her smile is in episode #6 when Shinji rescues her (like Gendo did in the activation test when Eva Unit-00 Prototype went bezerk trying to get to Gendo and kill him...from my knowledge) and she said she didn't know what to feel in a situation like that and Shinji replied, "Well, you could try smiling." And whenever she does smile, its really cool. Then she blushes once when she saw him nude but didn't when he saw her that way (but he sure did! *snicker, snicker*)She has no hobbies or interests other than her queer obsession with white underwear. Her reason for beconing an Eva pilot in her words, "I've bonded to it." | This is that which is mine, my life, my heart. | ||||||||||||||||

OK, here's one really weird part. From my knowledge, Unit-00 contains the soul of Naoko Akagi which explains why it went bezerk and tried to kill Gendo and Rei, and as we all should know, the Evangelions are modeled after the 1st angel, Adam. And have you ever wondered why Shinji and his Eva have bonded so much? Well, that's cuz it contains the soul of his mother and also explains why he has visions of his mother in the entry plug.Also, why do think Shinji complains 'bout the entry plug smelling like blood? I know why. NERV uses Lliths's blood and use it as LCL (Link Connection Fluid). Anyways, there are 3 Rei's, all clones projects. The first was murdered by Naoko Akagi. Rei, then, was a little kid who had overheard Gendo call Naoko an old hag and she told Naoko what he said. Out of rage, the woman strangled Rei and then threw herself off a NERV platform. The second, as we know now, a 14 year old girl selected to be the 1st Child according with the Marduk institute. She pilots the Eva Unit-00 Prototype and was successful at it during the reactivation test to fight the 5th angel. She dies while trying to save Shinji from the 16th angel, Zureul. And with her dying words she said, "I want to unite with Shinji-kun." The 3rd Rei, I don't know much about, but in the movie, End of Evangelion, she merges with Lilith. Lilith is held down, very, very deep within NERV, nailed to a stake and with the lance of Longinus stuck in her chest, preventing any growth to her lower body.
